Salary:    Lecturer - Grade 7 currently £34,189 - £39,609 per annum

               Senior Lecturer - Grade 8 currently £40,792 - £48,677 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our Journalism department at Staffordshire University. The ideal candidate will be able to offer expertise in teaching Journalism. A focus on practical experience and the application of theory in a contextual environment is essential. 

The successful candidate will have experience working in the journalism/media industry and demonstrate a strong background in broadcasting, newspapers, websites or magazines. They will also possess excellent multi-media skills.  Experience of teaching or delivering training within the context of Higher Education is essential.

The successful candidate will be passionate about the industry and HE, will be a highly motivated individual willing to enhance the student experience, develop relevant research areas, and demonstrate course leadership skills.

The successful candidate will be joining an innovative team of lecturers at one of the most successful and reputable Journalism HE schools in the country.

This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 18 months.
