About the role
Staffordshire University’s Media & Communications Hub, within Technical Services, is seeking to appoint an innovative, enterprising, curious, and daring technical specialist to support our dedicated animation and CGI resources, facilities, software, and associated workflow paradigms.
The role will involve working extensively with our students, technical and academic colleagues to ensure outstanding service delivery within a busy digital and technology-centric environment.
You will be immediately responsible for the day-to-day support and administration of our specialist portfolio of animation resources and facilities (hardware and software) and will possess subject expertise to a professional level.
Working with industry standard equipment, you will develop a comprehensive range of technical instruction and support packages and will exhibit a passion for improving the student experience complemented by practical aptitude and an acute attention to detail.

We are passionate about supporting career development via the attainment of a range of vocational skills and qualifications.
You will be required to engage with first & second-line support for digital assets, and computer workstations, including image creation, deployment, and triage, so prior knowledge of such processes on both Apple Mac and Windows platform is desirable, together with experience of the Jamf MDM.
