About the role 

Staffordshire University’s Media & Communications Hub, within Technical Services, wishes to appoint an innovative, enterprising, curious, and daring technical specialist to support our dedicated London-based cybersecurity and computing facilities.  

The role will involve working closely with our students, technical and academic colleagues to ensure outstanding service delivery within a busy digital and technology-centric environment. You will be part of the immediate team responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of our diverse portfolio of specialist technical and digital resources and facilities, including our dedicated Data Junction.  

Working with industry standard equipment, you will be the primary specialist in charge of our cybersecurity equipment and facilities. You will be able to exhibit a passion for improving the student experience complemented by practical aptitude and an acute attention to detail.

We are passionate about supporting career development via the attainment of a range of vocational skills and qualifications. 

You will be required to engage with some first & second-line support for digital assets, computer workstations, their deployment and triage on both Windows and Apple Mac platforms, so prior knowledge is desirable although not essential.
