About the role 

We are seeking to appoint a Technical Assistant to work as part of a team of Technical staff within the Science Hub to support teaching and research.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who is a team player, self-motivated and with a positive and flexible attitude. The ability to work independently and have a capacity for original thought will be essential in this role. You will be enthusiastic with excellent oral communication, written skills and record keeping. You will be keen to learn new techniques and have good IT and computing skills.

As the successful postholder, you will provide excellent technical assistance in supporting the preparation, set-up and clear-down of equipment and associated resources used as part of the delivered Science courses. You will also be responsible for general lab housekeeping, ordering of consumables and resources.
