About the role 

We are seeking a knowledgeable, sociable, and enthusiastic lecturer to support our English Language Team within the International Office.

The successful candidate will deliver a range of under-graduate and post-graduate modules including Academic English, Business English, English for Specific Academic Purposes and General English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undergraduate and Postgraduate delivery of modules and tutorials
  • Marking of assessments
  • Student pastoral support
  • Assessing students’ English Language competency against the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
  • Attending school and department meetings

The successful candidate will be educated to postgraduate level, with extensive experience of teaching English to a variety of international students and a passion for supporting and developing students for career success. The role requires strong communication skills, excellent collaboration skills, a level of proficiency in IT and a proven ability to work cohesively with others as a member of a team.
