Staffordshire University is on a journey to become the foremost modern higher education institution in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence, and we are looking for inspirational and effective people to take us to the next stage.

In 2018 we broke into the World University rankings for the first time and were named as a top 50 UK university by the Guardian. The quality of our student experience has placed us in the top 10 for teaching quality in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and in 2019 we achieved a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.

You can join us at a time when Staffordshire is investing heavily in the university’s equipment and facilities, having recently invested £100M in the new London Digital Institute in the Olympic Stadium and the Catalyst centre in Stoke, new home to our business school. Over the years Staffordshire has been best known for its computing courses and was the first institution to launch a computing programme during the 1960s. Today it remains at the forefront of technology with its gaming and esports courses and in 2020 won the award for institution of the year from TIGA (the Independent Games Association).

Many of our students come from overseas with strong representation from China, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, France, Poland, Romania and Trinidad & Tobago.

Staffordshire University has an ambitious vision for the future and key part of this is to increase our international reputation and profile and deliver an exceptional and personalised experience for prospective international students and applicants.

As part of our new International Recruitment Strategy we are investing in new Regional Area Managers in our International Office. Working in the International Office and in close collaboration with the Deans of School and the Associate Deans Recruitment, you will be responsible for recruitment and marketing activities in a specified global region.  You will develop and deliver financially viable marketing and recruitment plans and specific campaigns for each country within the designated region, maximising return on investment to achieve ambitious recruitment targets.

You will primarily focus on recruiting overseas students through education agents in your region. You will develop and manage the relationship with these agents to ensure that Staffordshire enrols students through them. You will present the university in an engaging manner and monitor progress with the agents using the university recruitment dashboard. You will also engage with offer holders from your region to help convert them into enrolments. In normal times, these roles entail a high level of travel but in the meantime, we are using virtual channels.

In return for your dedication we have a competitive benefits package available

  • Competitive incremental rates of Pay
  • 37 days Annual Leave plus 11 days Bank Holiday and Discretionary days
  • Excellent Pension Scheme
  • Access to continued professional and personal development
  • An opportunity to become part of the wider University community
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme
  • Discounted Health & Fitness Facilities on site at the Stoke Campus
  • Discounted Travel by Rail or Bus, with the option of season tickets loans

Staffordshire University is committed to promoting and enabling a positive culture where staff, students and visitors are confident to be their authentic selves.
