The Higher Horizons+ NCOP Hub at Staffordshire University will be implementing the National Saturday Club programme at the Staffordshire University Stoke campus from September 2019. Two clubs will be offered to local schools, one in Art & Design, the other in Science & Engineering. Therefore, two Club Programme Manager posts are required to develop, manage and deliver the club programmes within these subject areas.

This is an exciting new post for anyone who can offer a varied knowledge and skills base in either Creative Arts or STEM. The main duties of this post will be to deliver different disciplines within the club subject areas, to a group of Year 10 students. This post will entail working every Saturday during term time, for the 30 week programme, plus one day a week (the day is negotiable) to prepare for the next club activities. There will also be 3 weeks (33 hours), to develop the scheme of work and lesson plans during September, before the club programme starts.

This programme is part of the ‘National Saturday Clubs’ charitable organisation and so support is given to Club Managers throughout the programme from their Head Office in London. Club members will also take part in national network events including visits to some of the UK’s best museums and galleries, inspirational Masterclasses with leading figures from UK industry and exhibit their work in the National Saturday Club Summer Show at Somerset House, London.

We would particularly welcome applications from current students or recent graduates in relevant subject areas.
