Registry provides a wide-range of services and support to students and academic staff, within which Timetabling Services provides personalised timetables for over 11,000 on campus students and staff, web timetables and room booking facilities. The Timetabling Services team works closely with schools and services to plan and deliver responsive timetables and bookings within the framework of the existing estate. The University is undertaking significant transformation of its estate to ensure it has the very best facilities to support students and teaching delivery. Regular analysis of teaching space and curriculum data is used to inform the current Transformation development.  Timetabling Services plays a pivotal role in ensuring timetables are designed to enhance the student experience and optimise the use teaching spaces.

About the role 

Staffordshire University is looking to recruit a Registry Operations Assistant who is professional with a flexible, committed and enthusiastic attitude to customer service. You will work closely with your line manager, school timetablers, and academic & administrative staff across the University, in order to deliver a high quality and efficient service. You will have experience of timetabling, room booking or other registry function experience in a HE / FE or similar complex environment, with a positive and helpful attitude; an ability to take ownership of problems and work hard to resolve them, and have a positive approach to the role. You will also be committed to personal development and willing to be involved in projects and initiatives to develop timetabling and teaching space management activities. You will have a high level of literacy and numeracy and strong analytical skills with the ability to build cooperative working relationships within a team, and across the organisation as whole, and work with a high level of accuracy, communicating clearly in person and in writing. You will need to be adaptable to different situations and should be well organised and methodical in your approach.
