We presently have an exciting opportunity at Staffordshire University Nursery, as Deputy Nursery Manager. We are looking for highly motivated colleagues in Early Years and the successful candidate will possess the drive to continue with professional training and development. You will have a flexible approach, a positive attitude and the ability to build positive constructive working relationships with children, colleagues, parents, students and other professionals as appropriate.

You will be a key member of the Childcare Management team acting as a positive role model to practitioners and supporting the Head of Childcare and Nursery Manager in the delivery and maintenance of an outstanding service. 

You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, managing and organising your own workload to ensure you fulfill the key functions of the role. 

You will have the skills required to undertake nursery administration and financial tasks such as; invoicing, offering of nursery places and newsletters.    

You will hold a minimum of a level three Early Years qualification and have knowledge and experience in EYFS requirements particularly legal ratios, Safeguarding and Health and Safety legislation.

This post is part time, working 25 hours per week. Hours of work will usually be 5 hours per day Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.50am - 6.00pm, although some weekend work will be required to cover open days.

A visit to the nursery prior to interview is encouraged; although opportunity will be given to all to undertake a tour of the nursery during interview. 

An enhanced DBS will be required for this post.
