Staffordshire University is on a journey to become the foremost modern higher education institution in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence. We are therefore looking for inspirational and effective people to take us to the next stage. We are driven by our values which underpin everything we do, and our colleagues live our values every day. We are daring, curious and proud of our region and people.

Our transformation has been externally recognised and in 2018 we entered the World University rankings, and are a top 50 UK university in the Guardian league table. We are in the top 10 for teaching quality in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and achieved a Gold TEF rating in 2019.

We have ambitious research goals to go alongside our student-focused aims including tripling our research income, increasing international research collaborations, and growing the number of PhD researchers; to this end, we are making significant investments in research.

Many of our students come from areas with low rates of participation in higher education and we continually strive to ensure the courses we offer meet the needs of people and employers. We are expanding our non-traditional, flexible study options, particularly in apprenticeships serving the public sector.

You can join us at a time when we begin the next step of our transformation journey. The new £40m Catalyst Building will deliver 6,500 new apprentices in the next decade, boosting both the local and national economy. The development of our offer to new academic areas and geographic locations will see us expand our reach and make an innovative offer to a new generation of students.

We are a university of and for our community: local, national and global. If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you.

To support our research and enterprise agenda, we are seeking an Associate Dean - Research and Enterprise (ADRE) for the School of Health and Social Care, to take up to our complement of recently-appointed ADREs.

As part of the School Management Team the post holder will lead and drive research and enterprise within the School, and will work on cross-university activities with the ADREs from other Schools. You will be an excellent researcher in your own right, with the skills lead and manage the School's research and enterprise activities, and work on cross university projects, in line with the next stage of the University's transformation journey.

We are a University of and for our community; local, national and global.  If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on 29th April.

In return for your dedication we have a competitive benefits package available

  • Competitive incremental rates of Pay

  • 37 days Annual Leave plus 11 days Bank Holiday and Discretionary days
