About the role 

As part of our regional role as an anchor institution, Staffordshire University has secured funding from European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) to lead and deliver the Staffordshire E-Skills and Entrepreneurship Gateway programme.  The 3-year programme will be delivered in 2 strands:

  • Strand 1 will deliver Digital E-Skills opportunities for SSLEP SMEs and their workforce. The curriculum will cover key online platforms that aid SMEs digital agility and broad digital skills supporting efficiencies in a range of business processes 
  • Strand 2 will create an environment that stimulates and sustains entrepreneurial aspirations through skills interventions, developing conditions that encourages, creates, and nurtures ideas towards new venture/ business creation in key SSLEP/ SS LIS sectors for our Graduates and students. 

We are looking for an experienced Project & Portfolio Officer with experience of European Regional Development Fund (ESF) projects to support the Staffordshire E-Skills & Entrepreneurship Gateway programme.   The role holder will ensure that realistic project plans are developed and maintained, and that regular and accurate communication is provided to the project lead, partners and stakeholders; identify, assess and manage risks

The Project & Portfolio Officer will work closely with, and support the SEGWay Programme Manager and Admin Co-Ordinator. 

This role is part-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF).
