Our Research, Innovation and Impact Services department in Staffordshire University aims to support university staff to deliver high quality research that makes a difference to people and places.  We provide support to bid for research funding, deliver research projects and access training and development opportunities.  

Research excellence is at the heart of Staffordshire University, central to our ‘Catalyst for Change’ strategic plan in which we commit to increasing the quality and quantity of our research to deliver a positive impact for broader society.  

In recognition of this, we have created this new role with a specific focus to work with our staff and post graduate researchers to develop their research skills and careers here at the University.  We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the delivery of researcher development activity within the university for staff and postgraduate research students.   You will work with colleagues across the University to coordinate training and development provision to meet the needs of our Research, Innovation and Enterprise Strategy priorities.    This is a new role within the organisation which will play a leading role in shaping our research environment to meet the principles within the Concordat for the Career Development of Researchers. 

To be successful in this role we are looking for an excellent communicator with experience of design and delivery of training and development activities for researchers.   Alongside an understanding of sector best practice in researcher development, strong digital and analytical skills will be required.
