Who is Staffordshire University?

Staffordshire University is an award-winning institution with over 100 years’ experience in delivering excellent higher education. Our main Stoke-on-Trent campus is located in the heart of the UK, with Centres of Excellence located in the towns of Stafford and Shrewsbury.

After a highly successful year in 2019, which included entering THE World University rankings for the first time, securing TEF Gold, and climbing in all the league tables, our University has constantly expanded its physical presence through new and industry-leading building developments and facilities. Looking towards our 2030 strategy, we are now transforming specific business processes to improve the student experience and integrate a wider feeling of inclusion and safety for our on-campus community.

About the role

This is a key role in the Marketing, Recruitment and Communications department, as part of an award-winning Marketing Team that promotes the University’s portfolio of courses.

Reporting to the CRM Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for delivering quality, on-brand and engaging digital communications at key touchpoints of the new student journey. You will play a key role in driving open event bookings and attendances, giving students the opportunity to meet their future lecturers, peers and see everything the University has to offer.

You will also be part of the team that prepares the online communications to welcome students for the start of the academic year – delivering cross-channel communications to engage them at the start of their University journey.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to regularly monitor, analyse and evaluate CRM marketing content engagement. We’re looking for a team member that enjoys challenging the norm and contributing to the evolution of content plans that continue to inform and intrigue their audience. You must have a user-first commitment to marketing and be interested in creating high-performing and personalised communications.

We are looking for someone that is familiar with planning, setting up, delivering and reporting on CRM marketing campaigns. This will involve a strong understanding of multi-channel marketing campaigns, dynamic content and user experience requirements.

The role also has a responsibility to minimise risk of error and non-compliance – so candidates must be familiar with CRM workflows, automation, quality assurance measures and have experience in delivering high quality and engaging CRM marketing for a similar audience.

We are committed to putting the student at the heart of everything we do and meeting a consistently high standard, delivering campaigns to deadline and on-brand. We are looking for someone that has flexibility to work evenings or weekends on occasions, as part of an outstanding team committed to providing compelling events for our prospective students.

We are driven by our values; they underpin everything we do and our colleagues live our values every day. We are daring, curious and proud of our region and people. If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you
