About the role 

This is an opportunity to join the University’s creative and proactive Communications Team, based within the Marketing, Communications and Public Relations department. You will support the Internal Communications Manager in ensuring all internal communication channels are up to date, with particular focus on the student communication plans and staff and student events. You will support the team’s need to capture the attention of the broad audience of staff and students to drive the University’s reputation and support employee engagement and student satisfaction, through the creation of eye catching and informative multimedia content.

The preferred applicant will possess:

  • Knowledge of the processes of marketing and communications, and an understanding of the principles of internal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with a track record of forming positive and successful working relationships and networks
  • The ability to proofread and edit information quickly and accurately, for staff and student communication
  • A creative approach to storytelling and an understanding of how to engage audiences 
  • Experience in creating multi-media content across multiple platforms
