Staffordshire University is on a journey to become the foremost modern higher education institution in the UK, with an international reputation for excellence, and we are looking for inspirational and effective people to take us to the next stage.

In 2018 we broke into the World University rankings for the first time and were named as a top 50 UK university by the Guardian. The quality of our student experience has placed us in the top10 for teaching quality in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and 2019 and we have achieved a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework.

Many of our students come from areas with low rates of participation in higher education and we continually strive to ensure the courses we offer meet the needs of people and employers.  We are expanding our non-traditional, flexible study options, particularly in degree apprenticeships serving the public sector.

You can join us at a time when we begin the next step of our transformation journey. The new £40m Catalyst Building will deliver 6,500 new degree apprentices in the next decade, boosting both the local and national economy. The development of our offer to new academic areas and geographic locations will see us expand our reach and make an innovative offer to a new generation of students.

This is an opportunity to join the University’s creative and proactive communications team, based within the Marketing and Communications department. You will support the Internal Communications Manager in ensuring all internal communication channels are up to date, with particular focus on the student communication plans and staff and student events. You will support the team’s need to capture the attention of the broad audience of staff and students to drive the University’s reputation and support employee engagement and student satisfaction.

We are a university of and for our community: local, national and global. If you share our values and have the skills to deliver our vision, we want to hear from you.

The closing date for this job opportunity has now passed, and applications are no longer being accepted for this position
