This post offers an excellent and challenging opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team within the Centre for Health and Development (CHAD, The primary focus of CHAD is applied research that can contribute to improving health and wellbeing and reduce health and social inequalities.

The primary role of the successful applicant will be to support and lead the preparation of research funding proposals, which could relate to primary care-based health promotion (e.g., NHS Health Check), neighbourhood environment/natural environments and health, and housing and homelessness. The successful candidate could also be expected to contribute to delivery of ongoing projects through data collection, analysis and dissemination. This will require the ability to work independently, effectively time manage, familiarity with a range of research methods, and an ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a project team.

Experience in the development / writing of research funding proposals is essential.

Applicants should also have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Health Services Research, Public Health, Health Psychology), experience of qualitative and quantitative research methods, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post will also require flexibility in working, self-motivation and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
