About the role
An opportunity has arisen in the Law Department at Staffordshire University for a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law. You will be part of an outstanding, collegiate team which delivers an exciting undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. Teaching is delivered both faceto-face and virtually. We are interested in people passionate about their subject area and whose enthusiasm can inspire our students. We would like to hear from people with expertise in any area of Law. Having experience of teaching Contract, Employment and/or Business Law in higher education would be an advantage. You will have experience of teaching in higher education, including using online virtual learning environments. You will also have a PhD (or be near completion of a PhD), and have a demonstrable record of research, in any area of Law. Additional to the specific skills detailed above, you will have experience of, or show willingness to take part in, the full range of the team’s activities such as student recruitment and outreach and maintenance of the team’s social media profile for example. We would also expect you to be able to contribute to the University’s research profile. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, be a good team player, and be flexible and adaptable to change.
