About the role 


Here at Staffordshire University, we operate a cloud-based ERP system (Oracle Fusion) to support us in the delivery of modern and responsive financial services. 

This System Administrator role provides an excellent development opportunity for a candidate to progress their career and develop their skillset alongside all areas of financial services. Full training and support required for the role will be provided.

Starting salary will depend on your qualifications and experience but for the Grade 6 Senior Systems Administrator role you will have significant experience of core finance processes and experience of supporting a modern finance system. Supported by their line manager, candidates appointed to the Grade 5 (Systems Administrator) post will have the opportunity to progress to the Grade 6 (Senior Systems Administrator) subject to a successful regrade application at a suitable time. 

As a key member of the team this post will undertake a wide variety of tasks. You will be an innovative explorer of new technologies and software products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Financial Services function.

The post holder will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the aptitude to identify an issue, dig deeper to find the root cause of the issue and rectify. The role also gives opportunities to learn the day-to-day system maintenance, business intelligence report writing using SQL and enhance your Excel skills and support the Systems Accountant to design, develop and deliver process improvements in Financial Services.

This role will be based at our Stoke-on-Trent campus under a flexible location working policy.
