The Department of Computing at Staffordshire University has an exciting award portfolio comprising a range of highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered on-campus, at overseas partners, and via distance learning, all with a key focus on practical scholarship, industry relevance and employability.

The Department is keen to appoint an enthusiastic individual who will contribute to academic development in the areas of forensic computing and cyber security. It is expected that you would have a record of research (or building one) in the area of forensic computing and/or cyber security and have the potential to develop academic and research leadership in these areas. You would be expected to engage with enterprise activity and support/lead on research bids. In addition, it is essential that you have a willingness to develop your professional certification status in the area of forensic computing and cyber security to support embedding of such certification syllabi in the curriculum.
The team of staff you would be joining teach and support the delivery of modules both on campus and by distance learning, in the area of forensic computing and cyber security. Supporting distance, blended and work- based modes of learning will be an element of the teaching support. You should have expertise in forensic computing and cyber security at both the technical delivery level, and at the strategic / planning level. 
You will be student focused, team-orientated and flexible with excellent communication, interpersonal,organisational and presenting skills. You will have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and possess, or be nearing completion, of a related postgraduate degree. Recent experience of teaching and assessing in HE in either face to face or distance learning mode is desirable, as is experience of module leadership and development.
