About the role 

Be part of an exciting, new and significant learning and teaching development at Staffordshire University! As part of the University’s continued commitment to an exceptional, innovative and forward-looking teaching, learning and student experience, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Academic Projects who can lead significant cross-institutional change projects.

This role will be central to the University delivering continued high performance in delivering our ambition and our 2030 academic strategy. Working with key academic and professional service stakeholders, this role will facilitate a step-change in integrating our university processes for an outstanding student experience. 

The role-holder will lead multi-professional task groups and will manage the strategic insight into transforming university systems and processes which support the whole student life cycle. We are looking for an individual who can develop innovative approaches to managing the student journey and for evaluating our interventions for impact.

Applications are sought from very enthusiastic, team-orientated, flexible individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills.  Applicants must have a degree in a relevant discipline and a strong track record of managing systems change projects with the higher education sector and making recommendations for appropriate actions and interventions to senior leaders in a University context.

Demonstration of engagement with scholarship and/or research (evidenced by successful grant applications, recent publications in peer reviewed journals, book chapters, conference presentations etc.) is desirable.
