About the role 

The Data and Business Intelligence team is a diverse team of professional services staff that supports the senior leadership team in achieving their strategic plans and operational priorities, as well as supporting on a variety of projects. 

We are currently seeking a BI Business partner to work across the university supporting Schools and services in understanding their performance, enabling them to make evidence-based decisions, while supporting an insight led decision making culture through the upskilling of key stakeholders on BI and analytics.

Main Responsibilities 

This role presents an exciting opportunity to inform strategic and operational activities of the Data and BI function and this role will work as part of a growing team of technical experts, playing a key role in the evolution of the University’s approach to data.

The postholder will have extensive experience of analysing and presenting complex data in an accessible manner, a high level of IT literacy alongside demonstrable experience of working in partnership with colleagues to achieve objectives. 

Working with the Head of Business Intelligence, the wider Data & Business Intelligence (DBI) team, and Digital Services colleagues, the postholder will play a pivotal role in promoting data literacy across the University. They will also ensure the timely identification of evolving and emerging analytics trends to enable institutional readiness to meet future needs.

As part of the University’s Digital Transformation Programme, the postholder will provide subject matter expertise on key projects, including the Data Governance and Enhancing Data & Insights projects. They will also provide expert advice on optimising the University’s performance in league tables through the timely analysis of data used by league table compilers.
