Applications are invited from enthusiastic psychologists to join our psychology team and be involved in the teaching and supervision of trainees on our MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology course.  The course lies within the School of Life Sciences and Education at Staffordshire University and is based in the Science Centre, Stoke Campus.  

We have a well-established and popular set of psychology programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and we enjoy an excellent reputation for our research. We benefit from superb purpose-built facilities in in a £30 million Science Centre, and we work across the region with a number of organisations and health agencies.  Putting the students first is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing an excellent student experience through exciting and innovative programmes and research informed teaching at every level.

Applications are sought from very enthusiastic, team-orientated, flexible individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills.  The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for the course leadership, including organisation and delivery of the MSc. The post holder may also contribute to the delivery of the MSc Health Psychology and undergraduate psychology awards.

Successful applicants will have a BPS GBC accredited first degree in Psychology, and a PhD or Professional Doctorate in psychology, related to mental health. 

Some recent experience of teaching and assessing in HE is essential, as is demonstration of engagement with scholarship and/or research (evidenced by recent publications in peer-reviewed journals).  For Senior Lecturers, experience of course or module leadership or development is required, as is Fellowship of the HEA.  We also welcome evidence of the generation of external income.

Grade 7 - Lecturer £34,804 to £40,322

Grade 8 - Senior Lecturer £41,526 to £49,553
