Applications are invited from enthusiastic Health Psychologists to join our health psychology team and be involved in the teaching and supervision of trainees on our Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.  The Programme lies within the School of Life Sciences and Education at Staffordshire University and is based in the Science Centre, Stoke Campus.  We run the first MSc and Professional Doctorate awards in Health Psychology that were accredited by the British Psychological Society and received 9 commendations at our recent re-approval event in 2018; we were commended for our exemplary support, the provision of training bursaries and our positive and strong ethos of reflective practice.

The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of the quantitative research methods component of the DHealthPsy course. The post holder will also contribute to the delivery of other areas of the programme, as well as the MSc Health Psychology and undergraduate psychology awards.

Successful applicants will be registered with the Health and Care Professions’ Council as a Health Psychologist and have up-to-date knowledge of health psychology research and/or practice.

Possessing good communication and IT skills and excellent interpersonal skills, you should be a committed and enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach. Previous experience of working on a health psychology training programme, research skills and a track record of publications would be advantageous.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
