Lecturer Grade 7 currently £33,518 - £38,833 per annum

Senior Lecturer Grade 8 currently £39,992 - £47,722 per annum

(Appointment as Senior Lecturer will be considered should a suitable candidate come forward who has the relevant experience, skills and qualities to take on the responsibilities associated with an appointment at this level).

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and motivated candidates for a Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Forensic Biology.  The post-holder will join our team in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in our Forensic Science, Forensic Investigations and Forensic Biology courses, as well as providing support to other routes as required.

We seek an individual with knowledge and experience of a range of core forensic biology concepts and skills, with particular expertise in DNA profiling and Body Fluids (or related areas). You will have a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching, excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team of academic staff. In addition, you will be research active and be able to continue to develop your research portfolio in Forensic Biology. 

Forensic Sciences are a constituent of the School of Law, Policing and Forensics, a unique combination of disciplines that are ideally placed to respond to today’s justice system.  You will work closely with colleagues from academic disciplines including law, criminology, sociology, and policing and with others across the wider university community.
