Grade 7 / Grade 8 (Dependent Upon Experience)

Lecturer Grade 7 - £34,189 to £39,609 Per annum pro rata

Senior Lecturer Grade 8 - £40,792 to £48,677 Per annum pro rata

Staffordshire University seeks an experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our Journalism team, within the Department of Film,Media and Journalism, based on our Stoke-on-Trent campus. The successful Lecturer/SeniorLecturer will contribute to the teaching at undergraduate level, to the generaladministration of the courses and to the outreach activities of the Department.

The Department of Film, Media and Journalism has a range of Journalism undergraduate awards and the successful candidate will be required to provide leadership to BA (Hons) Games Journalism and PR and the BA (Hons) Photojournalism cohorts for their final Level 6 studies. The post will require the successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of the academic provision and to the overall student experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed colleague, who is dedicated to student development, teamwork and continuous academic/professional development. A doctoral level qualification or one nearing completion, in a relevant discipline is desirable, though not essential.
