Lecturer Grade 7 - £34,189 to £39,609 Per annum

Senior Lecturer Grade 8 - £40,792 to £48,677 Per annum

Staffordshire University seeks two experienced and enthusiastic candidates to join our film and television production team, within the Department of Film, Media and Journalism, based on our Stoke-on-Trent campus. Staffordshire University has recently been awarded Gold TEF status and Film Production has been ranked at number 8 in the UK by the Guardian 2020 league tables. 

The Department of Film, Media and Journalism has a range offilm and television undergraduate awards and the successful candidates willhave practical experience of working in the professional film/TV production industries (specialist knowledge and experience of experimental film is particularlywelcome). The successful Lecturer/Senior Lecturers will contribute; to the specialist teaching, to the general administration of the courses and to the outreach activities of the Department. The role/s are principally concerned with teaching film and television practices, though you will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of the academic provision and to the overall student experience.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed colleagues, who are dedicated to student development, teamwork and continuous academic/professional development. The successful candidates will be eager to create and nurture industry connections, embedding this knowledge exchange firmly into the film and television curricula at Staffordshire University. A doctoral level qualification in a relevant discipline is desirable, though not essential.
