            <p id="isPasted"><strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">Campus Security Officer (Part‑Time, Nights)</span></strong></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">The University of Staffordshire is seeking a dedicated, community‑minded and proactive Campus Security Officer to join our Security Team on a part‑time night‑shift pattern (2 nights on, 6 nights off).</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a varied, fast‑paced environment, makes confident and fair decisions, and is committed to delivering excellent support and customer service to our diverse university community. This is not a traditional security role. It is active and physically demanding, and you will play a key part in creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming campus for students, staff and visitors.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul type="disc"><li style="font-size: 18px;">Providing exceptional customer service to students, colleagues and visitors, ensuring everyone feels respected and supported</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Supporting university events as required throughout the year</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Participating in ongoing training and development, including opportunities to build skills relevant to the role and wider university operations</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Responding to first aid incidents, fire alarms and panic alarms, ensuring calm, safe and timely action</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Using digital systems confidently, including CCTV, access control, fire systems and incident‑reporting tools</li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">We welcome applicants who may not yet have all the skills listed but are willing to learn and open to training.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Working Pattern</strong></span></p><ul type="disc"><li style="font-size: 18px;">Night shifts on a 2 on / 6 off rotation</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Shifts are typically 10&ndash;12 hours</li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">We aim to create a supportive working environment and will discuss any reasonable adjustments you may need to perform at your best.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Right to Work</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">This role does not meet the criteria for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.             <p id="isPasted"><strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">About the role</span></strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 18px;">University of Staffordshire has embarked on an ambitious and unique transformation in the Higher Education sector where we strive to become the UK&rsquo;s leading Digital University. &nbsp;To help deliver this, we&rsquo;re looking for a Network Engineer degree apprentice, a technical role supporting the design and delivery of wired and wireless network services across the University, to join our Network &amp; Infrastructure Team.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Alongside this full time role, the apprentice will undertake the &lsquo;Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree - Network Engineer Pathway&rsquo;, studied at University of Staffordshire. Apprentices will complete launch weeks at our Stoke-on-Trent campus for 1 week per semester. On completion of the programme, apprentices will achieve a BSc (Hons) Digital &amp; Technology Solutions.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Main Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Working within the Network &amp; Infrastructure Team and reporting to the Network &amp; Infrastructure Manager, the role of the Network Engineer Apprentice will be to perform the following:&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li style="font-size: 18px;">Use network management systems software and appropriate analysis equipment to collect routine network load statistics, model performance, and create reports as required.&nbsp;</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Carry out routine configuration/installation/ reconfiguration and updates of hardware and software. Removal of hardware and / or software. Use supplied installation/ decommission instructions and tools, following agreed standards.</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Using standard procedures and tools, carry out defined tasks associated with the planning, installation, upgrade, operation, control and maintenance of local and wide area networks.&nbsp;</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Carry out routine network related configuration, reconfiguration, updates and BAU processes within Azure Cloud and Azure Local environments.</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Investigate, diagnose, and resolve network problems including Cloud and on premises server environments, escalating when required and documenting results.</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Assist with vulnerability remediations and protection of assets from cybersecurity threat.</li><li style="font-size: 18px;">Provide second line technical and user support.
