            <div id="isPasted"><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University of Staffordshire to join the Financial Services Department as an Assistant Management Accountant within the Finance Business Partnering Team.</p><p>Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, the postholder will support the provision of high-quality financial management and analysis across the University, working closely with academic Schools, Professional Services, and colleagues within Finance.</p><h4>Key Duties and Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>To support the timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and clear narrative commentary.</li><li>To effectively communicate financial information to key stakeholders, providing appropriate support and constructive challenge where required.</li><li>To actively contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.</li><li>To support the Business Partnering Team with day-to-day financial activities.</li><li>To provide a responsive financial analysis service to Schools, Central Service Departments, and internal Finance colleagues, dealing with routine and non-routine queries.</li><li>To proactively contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and new activity, ensuring the maintenance of strong financial controls and integrity.</li><li>To undertake ad hoc duties commensurate with the nature and grade of the post.</li></ul><h4>The successful candidate will be a proactive and motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and develop within a Higher Education finance environment. You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong Excel and financial modelling skills, and proven experience working within a finance function.</h4></div>

            <p id="isPasted"><strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">About the role</span></strong><span style="font-size: 18px;">&nbsp;</span></p><p id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 18px;">The University is seeking a highly skilled System Accountant to provide technical and functional leadership for its Oracle Fusion Finance system. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of the finance system, ensuring its stability, integrity, performance and alignment with institutional financial processes and strategic objectives.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">You will act as the Finance subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion, owning system configuration, functional design, operational controls, and enhancement roadmaps. You will also be responsible for the line management of a Senior Systems Officer, providing technical direction, workload prioritisation, and professional development support.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">Working closely with Digital Services, external implementation partners, and senior stakeholders, you will ensure the system is fit for purpose, scalable and fully integrated with the University&rsquo;s wider digital ecosystem.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;"><strong>Main Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p id="isPasted"><span style="font-size: 18px;">The main responsibilities for our role holder will be to:</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">1. To advise and develop Oracle Fusion to exploit the systems&rsquo; functionality which involves the testing of new modules, processes and high-level problem solving.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">2. Responsible for the project management of new developments, quarterly upgrades and maintenance of Oracle Fusion.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">3. Proactively taking the lead in resolving finance systems issues and liaising with Digital Services or the software suppliers. Following up queries on a regular basis until a resolution is found.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">4. Responsible for the system control, relating to process change, systems developments and general operational matters.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">5. To maintain and manage the University and its subsidiary financial systems on a daily basis, specifically maintaining the chart of accounts and other system attributes and parameters which define how the system works.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 18px;">6. Responsible for the liaison with Digital Services, External Consultants and Senior Officers of the University to discuss current issues and future developments of Oracle Fusion.</span></p><p><br></p>
