1 Have gained or be working towards an accounting professional qualification, or have an equivalent level of experience and be willing to work towards qualification. D A/I
2 Substantial demonstrable experience of working in a similar size finance environment. D A/I
3 The post holder must have a clear understanding and application of various accounting reconciliation techniques and manipulation of financial data and report D A/I
4 The postholder must have an understanding of statutory financial procedures and their practical application and an understanding of tax matters. D A/I
5 Knowledge and experience of working to guidelines and regulations including financial regulations. D A/I
6 Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and will be confident when disseminating advice and concise guidelines and dealing with customer queries. Also be able to explain complex working papers to internal and external auditors. E A/I
7 Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines, prioritise workloads and balance competing priorities. E A/I
8 The post holder must be highly motivate, enthusiastic and be able to work effectively on their own initiative and as part of a team. E A/I
9 High level of competency in the use of computer technology, specifically in relation to the use and creation of spreadsheets (including the use of complex formulas, data sorting, linking data between sheets, lookup, graphs & charts), financial systems (including extracting data & entering data).
