1 A good understanding of networking and communications related concepts such as topological design, switching and routing, network security, WIFI, Internet of Things and Software Defined Networking. E A/I
2 Good understanding of enterprise network architecture and experience of relevant procedures for the installation, testing and commissioning of supplier specific equipment and software in all legitimate operational environments, following industry standards and best practice. E A/I
3 Knowledge of the methods and techniques for monitoring networks to determine network health, including the capture of traffic information (packet level) and the forensic analysis of this information into its constituent elements, to resolve performance issues and troubleshoot failures. E A/I
4 Understanding a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying the relationships between these parts, selecting the appropriate method/tool to resolve the problem and reflecting critically on the result. E A/I
