1 A first degree and/or a post graduate qualification, with possession of a PhD being desirable. E A
2 Member of the HE Academy/PGCHPE or relevant professional networks or organisations D A
Experience
3 Proven experience of teaching in an HE environment and experience of engagement in Scholarship/Research D A
4 Experience and knowledge of award management and quality enhancement processes E A/I
5 Experience of targeted growth, innovation and improvement in relation to development and delivery of awards delivered at partner institutions including the quality assurance and enhancement of these awards. E A/I
6 A strong record of professional practice in relation to working with academic partner institutions, in the UK and overseas. This experience to include an understanding of the legal context relating to academic partnerships and the ability to effectively analyse, assess and advise on risks presented by proposed or existing partnership arrangements E A/I
7 Experience of using information/data to monitor and inform action plans to improve Quality Assurance processes and Quality Enhancement activities in relation to UK and overseas provision E A/I
8 A collaborative, team oriented working style, with experience of successfully leading and managing projects and motivating staff and/or teams and of negotiating with team members in order to achieve specified objectives E A/I
9 Demonstrable experience of successfully leading and contributing to partnership activity and developments across the University or a similar complex educational organisation E A/I
Knowledge
10 Up to date knowledge of developments within the Higher Education sector relevant to working with partnership institutions, including an understanding and appreciation of the current QAA Quality Code and regulatory requirements for working with partners delivering University awards both in the UK and overseas E A/I
Skills and Behaviours
11 Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with significant experience of networking internally and externally to form and sustain strong and successful working relationships both in the UK and overseas E A/I
